A part of the south west of London, Stockwell is located within the Borough of Lambeth. It is south east of Charing Cross, with Brixton, Clapham, Vauxhall and Kennington bordering it. There are many places of worship in the region, mainly Catholic and Anglican churches but with the large influx of Afro-Caribbean communities they evolved to become more diverse.
